20.00 Main Concert: Classical Compositions for Koto & Shakuhachi

Virtuoso musicians from the world over will perform various compositions of Japanese traditional and contemporary music. The thrill of this evening will be two 19th century ensemble pieces for koto (Japanese zither) and shakuhachi, performed by Minako Kuroyanagi (koto), Christopher Yohmei Blasdel and  Gunnar Jinmei Linder (shakuhachi). The highlight of the entire concert will be Sakai Shodo's solo rendition of famous piece Tsuru no Sugomori.
