Data-Live and Christopher Blasdel at the Summer School's opening concert

The opening concert of the Prague Shakuhachi Summer School, 14.08.'09, will witness collaboration between a young progressive electronic formation, Data-live, and one of the leading shakuhachi players, Christopher Yohmei Blasdel. Data-Live work with pre-sampled recordings which are then complemented with acoustic and electronic sounds live on stage. Together with Christopher Blasdel, renowned for his cross-genre performances, they will create a unique overlapping of two seemingly distant artistic universes. Along with this concert there will also be opening of the exhibition of New Media + Shakuhachi at the New Town town-hall.
